Trongate 103
Housed in a six-story former Edwardian warehouse, Trongate 103 is Glasgow’s newest arts resource centre.
We were hired to visually define the redeveloped building as a destination and communal home for its partner organisations.
The brief: create an identity and logotype, followed by a website, marketing material, interior signage and wayfinding. Our response: a logo that operates on multiple levels, in a range of treatments.
The dot-matrix typeface functions as both logical grouping and abstraction – each particle in the word ‘gate’ is a miniature icon.
This lets the marque easily adapt to varying levels of focus and magnitude, whereby closer inspection uncovers a deeper level of meaning and detail.
