Gowkthrapple Read More

The concrete façade of this community centre was designed to positively embrace its neighbourhood and environment. Inspired by local geology, the repeat pattern is derived from the natural iron ore that once placed Gowkthrapple at the centre of Scotland’s industrial revolution.

Produced entirely in relief, the four-metre high panels were cast in subtly changing coloured aggregates, and alternate between the two variations.
