Graphical Shop Launch

We’ve been talking about doing this for a while now but we’ve finally got it together. It wasn’t really much of a stretch, to be honest. People often approach us for copies of things we’ve made with our clients. So now, everything’s conveniently found in one place: graphicalshop.com

Books, objects, exhibition images, posters, self-promotional publications and maybe a few limited edition prints: it’s all there. Over time, the collection will grow and hopefully prove to be a worthwhile venture for everyone involved with Graphical House.

University of the West of Scotland 2011

It’s seems bizarre to be talking about print work for next year but in reality we started on this back at the end of 2009, such is the world of education. This year in addition to designing the undergrad prospectus for UWS, we also produced a new magazine which goes with it. We not only designed the mag but developed the concept and commissioned all the content. Looking at the less formal side of student life in the West of Scotland the magazine has articles about music, food and of course, money from writers such as Kirsten Innes, Barry Nicolson, Ken McHugh and Stacey Hunter. We’re doing a lot more with UWS this year so we’ll be posting regularly about them. See the latest work in more detail here.

Our second Season Brochure for National Theatre Scotland has recently arrived back from the printers. It should be out and about by now so why not go pick one up from your local leaflet rack.

Form, Book & Promotion

We’ve just taken delivery of this rather nice hardback from Sandu Publishing in China. It looks at book and promotional design and features our work for the University of the West of Scotland, as well as our own ‘Me & You’ self promotional publication. Also featuring work by the likes of Spin, Base, Research Studios and Sagmeister, we’re in pretty good company. It seems to be pretty difficult to get hold in the UK at the moment though. Hopefully they’ll sort that out soon.
