We designed these almost a year ago now, we’d kind of forgotten about them so it was a nice surprise to see these shots. For a community building designed by Collective Architecture, these 4m tall pre-cast concrete panels have a repeat pattern that takes inspiration from iron ore, paying reference to the industrial history of Lanarkshire. The building should be finished in spring.

The Gaudi exhibition opened at The Lighthouse last weekend, the photographs look great of course but we’re really taken with the caption blocks. Autograph Signs made them for us out of 20mm thick clear acrylic. A simple idea that works really nicely. The monograph is heading off to print tomorrow so we’ll have some images of that before too long.

We’re just finishing off material for an exhibition of photographs by Michael Thomas Jones. The show looks at classic Modernista buildings within their real-life contemporary settings. As well as the usual poster, invite and booklet we have also designed some rather nice exhibition captions and are just in the process of completing a large case-bound monograph of the images. The exhibition opens at The Lighthouse in Glasgow on the 14th of November and will travel to Barcelona in 2010.
